April 23rd
April 30th
May 7th

For those who are new to Austin Elementary, our after school sports program aims to help kids develop confidence and skills by giving them the chance to participate in their favorite sports while also providing time to have fun and engage in physical activity. It is supervised by educators who care about the kids and the sports they are enjoying!

Personal Devices
As stated in the CISD Elementary Student Handbook, “Possession and Use of Personal Communication Devices, Including Mobile Telephones. For safety purposes, the district permits students to possess personal mobile telephones; however these devices must remain turned off during the instructional day, including all day during testing, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes. A student must have approval to possess other telecommunication devices such as netbooks, laptops, tablets, or other portable computers.”

Additional Supplies:
Students will not be provided with a Mustang Folder this year. We were unaware of this change until the beginning of this year, so if you would like your child to have a take-home folder, please purchase an additional folder for their use.

Background Checks:
Are you interested in helping in the office or classroom at Austin? Or do you want to serve in our classroom during holiday parties, or help the PTO with events? To be eligible to volunteer on any of the CISD campuses for any of your "yes" responses above, you must complete a Background Check every year. The form must be completed at least a week prior to the volunteer event. It is best to go  ahead and fill one out now, just to be safe! Click here for the volunteer background check form!
